Notes from Source: The American artists Anne Carson and Peter Cole describe the three artists’ books and a video loop shown in their exhibition Longing, a Visual Primer. They note that the first book contained stills from the video Longing, a Documentary, state that the second book contains only one sentence, and describe the third as an `inquiridon’ or handbook. They consider the meaning of the concept of longing and repoduce Carson’s poem, `Longing, a documentary’ (2000).
