“Coloured Openings in Anne Carson’s Autobiography of Red: A Novel in Verse” in Textes et contextes 17-2 (2022-12-15).
ISSN: 1961-991X
Notes from Source: A close examination of the colour red in Anne Carson’s Autobiography of Red: A Novel in Verse shows that in it colour extends beyond the synaesthetic experience theorized by the ancient poets. In Carson’s book, colour is a complex living entity. Granted agency, red functions as a narrative agent able to author its autobiography.
